The CSO Italy The European Art of Taste project debuts at Asia Fruit Logistica 2019

It will be the debut in Asia of The European Art of Taste Project, funded by the European Union and the companies associated with CSO ITALY: Apofruit, Origine Group, Kingfruit, Joinfruit, Mazzoni, Oranfrizer, RK Growers (Hall 3B stand F20) to which alongside Asiafruit Logistica, in the common exhibition area, Infia and CIV, with a collective stand of 188 square meters that will highlight the top products and companies of Italian fruit and vegetables.

The European Art of Taste Project, active for the three-year period 2019-2021, provides for important communication actions on the market in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and Japan with a total budget of 3.6 million euros.

The Asia Fruit Logistica Fair will be a real launching pad for the project contents in Asia with the presence of the top managers of the participating Italian companies, the distribution of all the dedicated information materials at the fair and the organization of an evening event reserved for average.

The exhibition area will offer the opportunity to welcome customers with tastings of Made in Italy gourmet products specially prepared for the occasion by the Italian Sapori di Maggio catering by chef Marco Maggio based in Hong Kong.

Italy has a long tradition as a leading European producer of fruit and vegetables and is recognized worldwide for the quality of its products, grown according to strict rules to protect safety and health. For over 30 years, Italian fruit and vegetables have followed integrated production guidelines that have now become a European model.

The production area, particularly suited to fruit and vegetables, allows to obtain unique and recognizable quality results.

Kiwi is the main product available on Asian markets in the marketing period from November to May.

Italy has recently produced over 400,000 tons of kiwis (CSO Italy data) even if the production potential would allow a total offer of about 600,000 tons and ranks second in the world after China.

The Italian kiwi is available today with integrated production with a differentiated range of offerings that allow it to meet the demands of the most demanding markets, from green kiwis to yellow kiwis and recently introduced red kiwis.

In addition to kiwis, in the Italian production landscape for Asia, the Red Orange also plays a leading role, a product of extraordinary quality and with health requirements confirmed by numerous scientific studies, available on the market from November to April.
